These trips help acquaint the paddlers with the natural surroundings on Deer Creek. Exploration of the environment, both the land and the water, is enhanced by the use of canoes to travel along Deer Creek. This is a brief, four-hour introduction to paddling a canoe. Students are presented with basic information on boat control, paddling apparel, potential hazards and simple rescues. This is a 1 day course focusing on the basic canoe skills for the tandem canoeist. These trips help acquaint the paddlers with the natural surroundings on Deer Creek. Exploration of the environment, both the land and the water, is enhanced by the use of canoes to travel along Deer Creek. ACA Introduction to Canoeing: TANDEM Level 1

This is a 1 day course focusing on the basic canoe skills for the tandem canoeist.
