What fun I had in Aberdeen’s Festival Park. I could have stayed there all day amongst the gorgeous landscaping, the birds singing in the sunshine and the happy people all around welcoming back spring.  I was so lucky to have the opportunity to plant a tree… an Oklahoma White bud to be exact- with the capable help of my new friend Dick and the good folks of Country Garden Center. (Ok, Dick did most of the work- but I was a very good helper) Thanks to Phylis Grover and of Course, Mayor Mike Bennett who are such great partners with the County. It is always a pleasure to work with them and I will visit my special tree often.

You gotta go to Aberdeen’s Earth Day Celebration- I’ll be there! It is coordinated by the folks at Anita Leight Estuary Center. Don’t forget to bring a cotton shirt for tie dyeing! Peace!

I’m a big consignment shop supporter. Maybe because I have a growing 5 year old- but it makes me feel good that clothes that have only been worn by a few short months get a new life. and in this economy it helps not to always have to pay retail. Just the Occasion in Churchville is one of my favorite shops with a HUGE selection of housewares, clothes for all ages, and the purses LOVE the purses! (hey, save a little- spend a little.)
